The Wooden Sky are an indie rock band based in Toronto, Ontario. They are one of the featured artists playing at this years Vancouver Folk Festival. They performed their song “Child Of The Valley” live for Cardinal Sessions in Cologne.
Bumbershoot is a festival in Seattle that takes place on the long weekend from August 31st to September 2nd. It showcases the best in music, film, comedy, spoken word, dance, theater, performance, and visual arts. I would definitely recommend checking this festival out since there’s so many things to do and usually a great line up.The festival takes place at Seattle center which is easy to get to and it’s usually a great atmosphere!

The new lineup has been announced for the 2013 Vancouver Folk Festival! I got to be apart of it last year and was able to meet great people and work with amazing bands. It takes place on July 19th to the 21st at Jericho Beach and I can’t wait to attend it this year. Check out the lineup of this years performers:

The Avett Brothers are a four piece folk-rock band from North Carolina but performed as a duo for an acoustic version of their song “Laundry room”; the song is off the album “I and Love and You”.
Feist and Broken Social Scene collaborated on The Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show and performed “Almost Crimes” in honour of the new A&C: 2003-2013 album. Take a listen and enjoy!
